I am a product-focused entrepreneur with a 10-year career that includes launching a software product with thousands of users, leading a groundbreaking digital mapping initiative to eliminate blight across 139 sq miles of Detroit, and contributing to global disaster response and humanitarian efforts as a United States Marine.
In 2016 I founded Sift to help companies gain clarity to their human capital through tools to help them better understand and leverage the skills, experience, and knowledge of their incredible people who comprise them. Sift provides a beautifully simple employee directory for the modern enterprise and is currently used by Quicken Loans, Meridian, Venture for America, Bedrok, and Rocket Fiber.
Before Sift I led digital innovation initiation at Rock Ventures under Dan Gilbert (Cleveland Cavaliers chairman). I was also the leader of Motor City Mapping, a coalition of private, public, and non-profits working to find a data-driven approach to eliminating blight and vacancy in the City of Detroit. We created a mobile app used to survey over 380k homes and an online tool for policymakers, community groups, and residents to explore the scope of blight in their communities and leverage data to help build community plans designed to stop the spread of urban blight.
While in Detroit, I co-founder of Rebirth Realty, where my partners and I restored an old abandoned mansion, transforming it into working and living space for startup founders and makers.
I have been recognized as an emerging leader in Detroit's startup ecosystem, with honors that include Crain's 20 in their 20's, a 2013 Venture for America fellowship, and being selected as a member of Leadership Detroit Class XXXIX.
I’m a proud veteran who served abroad in the US Marine Corps in Afghanistan, Haiti, the Philippines, and the Arctic Circle.
