The New York chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (NY/IABC) is a professional organization as dynamic and varied as the city itself. Members come together from a wide variety of industries and communication disciplines to share their expertise with one another through a broad range of activities. NY/IABC serves professional communicators who work in New York City and the surrounding areas. The chapter was founded in 1972. Since then, the nature of its membership has evolved and changed to reflect the New York City communication market. While many members are employed in corporate communications, others represent public relations and marketing communication agencies or self-employed, typically serving as suppliers of professional services to the corporate market.
